1856 British Pioneers Saw Backed Short Sword. Brass stirrup hilt, single saw edged blade with spear point. Brass mounted leather scabbard. Stamped on underside of hilt and on frog stud. Pitting to blade and top chape of scabbard is loose but overall a good looking item in good condition. Priced Accordingly

2 Volumes 'Boer or Britain'. Two bound linen bound volumes of magazines, contemporary magazines, black and white Transvaal Special. Well illustrated, excellent reference for the Boer War student. Volume one has the spine coming detatched volume two is okay, both volumes are clean but disscoloured with age.

2nd City of London Yeomanry Helmet. Miniature helmet, perfect in every detail, truely splendid item,Very limited production, could even be unique. Size approx.10" High (25cm).

2nd West York Yeomanry Cavalry Officer's Sabreatche.1884-1894. Superb and very scarce 2nd West York Yeomanry Cavalry sabreatche in very good condition indeed. Victorian officer's sabreatche in bullion wire weave on black leather, manufactured by Hawkes & Co. Piccadilly London. Superb item.

African Dagger/Knife in Scabbard. 19th Century African Dagger/Knife with 9" leaf shaped blade contained in a leather scabbard with leather covered hilt. Possibly from the Congo region. Good Condition

Boy's Own 'Colours of the New Territorial Home Defenders'. Good contemporary paper pull out from the Boy's Own magazine.Full colour illustrations of some of the Territorial Home Defenders Colours drawn for the Boys Own paper by Alfred Lambert. Good old piece of ephemera in good condition apart from some folds that deserves framing.

British 80th Foot Regimental button. Small size brass button of the 80th Foot. Condition Very good.

British Essex Yeomanry Helmet. Superb miniature helmet of the Essex Yeomanry. An exact replica in miniature of this Yeomanry helmet. Manufactured during the 1970's the gentleman who manufactured these superb copies has long retired and they are collectors pieces in there own right. Do not confuse this helmet with Indian manufactured similar items, the quality and detail does not compare even a little . Every detail is perfect and other than the size you could not fault them. I have decided to sell part of my collection and this is the first of few different miniature British cavalry helmets that I will put up for sale. They are very limited and worthy of a place in any collection, big or small!. Size approx.10" (25cm) High. Brass ,gold plated skull, brass chinchain leather backed, brass and white metal badge, leather lining, green leather lining to inside of front peak, it is superb.

British Infantry Officer's full dress sword knot. Gilt and scarlet wire woven sword knot or portopee. Good Condition.

British Naval Papers for transporting goods. Set of papers allowing the transportation of goods for a Swedish ship from the port of London during the Napoleonic blockade. Historically important and interesting documents Condition very good.

British Naval Sea Service Flintlock Pistol 1800. Barrel 31cm, Overall length 49cm. Steel barrel in good condition with proof marks, Flintlock in working order, the lock plate stamped with 'Tower' and the GR cypher. The wood stock is dated 1800, and the butt is brass as is the trigger guard and ramrod mount. The wooden ramrod could possibly be a replacement. The whole pistol though is truely superb and in very good condition considering its age.

Bronze Waterloo Medal 1815.by Pistrucci Obverse of this large bronze medal shows the the busts , conjoined, laurette and draped , of the Prince Regent, Francis II (Austria), Alexander I (Russia) and Frederick William III (Prussia), above , Apollo driving a quadriga;around , border of allergorical and mythological allusions. The reverse ;Victory advancing , guides the equestrian figures of Wellington and Blucher, each in Roman dress; above Jupiter driving a quadriga ; around, a border with a running depiction of the battle of the giants. Condition GVF or Better.

Crimean War French Shako plate. French grenade of a fusilier regiment. Dug up artefact from the Crimea. Good condition for a relic.

Crimean War Lead Tobacco Box. Circa 1860. Lead Tobacco box with the lid bearing a handle in the form of a lion and inscribed around 'Alma Sebastopol, Balaklava and Inkerman', the sides of the box decorated with battle scenes and naval engagements from the Crimean War. Stamped on the base with registration mark, Complete with some very old tobacco. Heavy item due to being manufactured from lead. Nice Condition and very interesting piece.

Duke of Newcastle Under Lyne & Earl of Lincoln Document. Henry Fiennes Pelham-Clinton, 2nd Duke of Newcastle (1720-1794) Made Knight of the Garter in 1752 Created Duke of Newcastle Under Lyne by George II in 1768 Printed paper, possibly from book, hand coloured. Very nice condition, would look really great if framed.

Early 19th Century Wig in Tin Carrying case. George IV or early Victorian wig in its original tin carrying case. Possibly Military or could be Judicial. Very good condition wig but the black ribbon is fragile and needs handling with care. The tin case is rusty but the interior still has its coppered tin finish together with its mushroom stand and spikes. Interesting item that will look really the part in an 18th century militay collection or slightly later, especially if displayed with a Tricorne or Naval Bicorne hat.

European Firearms 1954 publication. Victoria and Albert Museum paperbacked book printed in 1954 and covering European Wheelock and Flintlock firearms. Black and white photos plus line drawings. Very interesting reference. Quarto size , clean and in good condition.

French 1812 Shako Plate 15th Infantry. Good original First Empire helmet plate manufactured in steel.

French 1830-40 Infantry Shako Plate. Silvered copper plate, good condition. Dating from just after the Napoleonic Wars.

French 18th Century Military letter. 'Regiment Conde Dragons. Good condition and interesting hand written paper offering a position in the Regiment Conde Dragons due to desertion of another officer.

French 2nd Empire Grenadiers Plate. Beautiful gilded plate of the 2nd Grenadiers a Pied. 2nd Empire plate in very good condition indeed.

French 2nd Empire Infantry Gorget. Brass gorget with silver cockerel badge insignia mounted upon it . French Infantry gorget from around the 1830-40's.

French book 'En Campagne'. Meissonier de Neuville Detaille. Large book, with superb prints and details of the French Army on campaign from about 1820 to 1880. Unfortuntely the front cover and spine are coming adrift and need some attention otherwise a clean and very good book indeed.

French Gorget 1850's Brass Gorget with Fleur de Lys badge to the base with bullion wire cord tied to each end and having a Republique Francais button attached. Interesting item in good condition

French Infantry Officers Shako. Excellent condition shako complete with all fittings and liner. Difficult item to find in this excellent condition.

French Line Infantry Officers Gorget 1804. First class condition Gorget.Good patina and finish.

Garde Champetre Plaque. Brass plaque of the Garde Champetre Commune de Cattenieres (Nord). A little knocked on the outer edges otherwise in very good condition. Circas 1840

Georgian Wax portrait of General Picton 1815. Very difficult items to find in good condition and with much of their colour intact. This particular wax portrait of Picton has 95% of its original colour intact, is mounted on black glass and is in its original Georgian black wood frame. A rare period item depicting one of Waterloo's better known Generals (Killed at the Battle) and in excellent condition to say that it is nearly 200 years old and survived heat and time.

Georgian Wax Seal of the 72nd Highlanders. Superb wax seal on piece of card of the 72nd Highlanders. Good Georgian period seal in very good condition. Difficult item to find.

Georgian Wax seal of the Army Ordnance. Goos condition seal, not quite as ornate as the 72nd Highlanders but nevertheless a scarce item. 90% of seal intact.

Hand Coloured Print of the 19th Foot (Green Howards). A very clean a good coloured lithograph print of two soldiers of the 19th Regiment of Foot. Size approx 8" x 5" (Not counting the mounting board).

Imperial Austrian Uhlans helmet plate. Double headed eagle of the Austrian Empire, gilded brass helmet plate worn on Uhlan (Lancer) czapkas. Very good condition.

Imperial German miniature Uhlan Jeton. Superb enamelled small jeton of an Imperial German Uhlan czapka. Size approx.1/2" in height.Gilded back, enamelled front, beautifully manufactured little object.

Imperial Russian Guard Grenadiers Shako Plate. 100% original cast brass and gilded shako plate of this well reproduced item. This excellent and very scarce shako plate was worn by the Imperial Russian Guard Grenadiers.Three flaming grenades with the correct lug fastenings on the reverse. A very scarce badge to find as original.

Imperial Russian Fusiliers Mitre cap insignia. Imperial Russian other ranks mitre cap insignia of a fusilier regiment. Thin brass badge mounted onto a red cloth rounded triangle bordered in white.Mothed around the edges and the badge just hanging by a thread. Scarce item.

Imperial Russian Photograph. Super photo of a Russian officer wearing his Order of St.Anne. The photo was taken in Poland and bears a Polish photographers details. Good Condition.

Miniature coloured photo of Royal Engineer.1890 Good coloured picture of a Royal Engineer in Full dress wearing Busby and scarlet uniform. Early picture from about 1890. Framed in gilded metal glass oval frame.

Miniature Watercolour on Ivory. British India Period.Circa 1800-1840 A superb watercolour of Emma Stanley, painted on Ivory and mounted in its original square hardwood frame with inset decorative gilded metal frame housing a domed glazed front. The painting which is expertly executed is on very thin ivory which at sometime (before I purchased it) has been cracked from 1.0 o'clock down to 3.0 o'clock to the right of the subject and therefore has been mounted on some more recent card for its protection.This repair is hardle noticeable and dores not in any way detract from the painting. The reverse of the painting reveals the copper mountings used for securing the picture to the frame and also an old label with the words 'Emma Stanley, Calcutta' to the top right hand corner .Typical Late Georgian /Early Victorian ring mount for hanging. Size of frame approx.5" Square, painting approx.3" diameter. Excellent piece and very attractive. Priced accordingly due to the slight damage.

Polish 7/8th Lancers of the Line Czapka 1811 Very good example of the 7/8th Polish Lancers of the Line from Napoleons armies.Does have some original features and is in very good condition but is probably a very early Victorian period copy, priced accordingly.

Porcelain plate 'Napoleon with German troops'. 10" diameter plate in glazed black and white porcelain, entitled' Napoleon Haranguant les troupes Bavaroises et Wurtembergeoises'. Belgium manufactured.

Silver Georgian Sweatheart or Cravate Pin brooch to the Cameronians. Full details to follow

Silver Skull Vesta. Not really militaria but a great novelty piece. Hallmarked silver vesta in the shape of a skull, the striker is on the bottom jaw bone and the jaw is hinged to accept the matchs. Hallmarked just below the bottom row of teeth. Very good condition.

Superb Miniature Portrait of Italian General Giuseppe Garibaldi. Excellent miniature portrait of this famous 19th Century General. The portrait is intact but there is some damage to one side, it does not detract from its value or its rarity as this is a stunning little piece. The reverse shows the Italian colours and the whole miniature is housed in a small case.(Not original to the miniature). Size is approx.1" diameter. A rare and very interesting item for the discerning collector both of miniatures and Italian Militaria.

Unidentified French Gorget. Interesting gorget, very French and Napoleonic in style with the Imperial Bee mounted upon it. Very good condition.

Very Early 17th Century Italian Cabasset helmet. Steel Cabasset with ornate rose type rivets around the edge, there is a brass plume holder to the reverse added sometime later, probably dates from around the late 16th to the early 17th Century. This style helmet would have been used during the English Civil War and considering their age, these helmets are very reasonably priced in the Arms & Armour collecting world.

Very Rare Boxer Rebellion Doll 1900. A superb and very rare little doll from the Boxer Rebellion 1900. Size approx.6" high, made from wood with a gruesome face probably from linen and clothed in standard Chinese dress of the time. He holds two choppers or knives. Condition is very good indeed considering its age and subject. Excellent rare item that I was not sure should either be in the 18th/19th Century Website or the Model & Toy soldier Website so i've put it on both.

Very Scarce First Empire French Shoulder Pouch 1813. Very hard to find, 100% original French Infantryman's Shoulder belt Pouch. The pouch is dated 1813 with its Fusilier grenade brass badge attached, some leather work missing to inside but this is a common found thing with First Empire pieces (200 years old?). The actual belt is a mid 19th Century replacement but made in the exact style od First Empire French. A very Rare and desirable item very seldom seen offered for sale.
