British Naval Sea Service Flintlock Pistol 1800.
Barrel 31cm, Overall length 49cm.
Steel barrel in good condition with proof marks, Flintlock in working order, the lock plate stamped with 'Tower' and the GR cypher. The wood stock is dated 1800, and the butt is brass as is the trigger guard and ramrod mount. The wooden ramrod could possibly be a replacement. The whole pistol though is truely superb and in very good condition considering its age.

English Civil War Period
Very unusual lobster tail type pikeman's helmet. The skull is manufactured from copper and the peak and rear tail manufactured from steel. The peak is large with twenty rivet styled indentations as decoration around the front edge, the rear lobster tail is made up from a single piece of steel but made to simulate several steel bands, this is then decorated with numerous rivets both around the outer edge and across the bands. The very unusual copper skull is beaten and joined from two pieces with a large comb running from front to back. There are signs of ear flaps having been present , but these are missing.
I am reliably informed that this style of headdress was used for parades but I need to confirm this with the Royal Armouries. It still however is very unusual and one would expect, rare helmet.

Very Early 17th Century Italian Cabasset helmet.
Steel Cabasset with ornate rose type rivets around the edge, there is a brass plume holder to the reverse added sometime later, probably dates from around the late 16th to the early 17th Century. This style helmet would have been used during the English Civil War and considering their age, these helmets are very reasonably priced in the Arms & Armour collecting world.
